Can someone just tell me where the logic and facts are in this article?
I read the intro and realised that it was about the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident, and that feminism is to blame for… I don’t know; what is feminism getting blamed for here? And then she goes on to talk about an article is O magazine about women leaving men for other women. And how that has to do with feminism and Rihanna?
I can’t find the logic here.
“It’s just one survey. But it’s very bad news. And feminists are to blame. I don’t say that to bash Gloria Steinem or whomever the most easily blamed feminist would be at this point. I say it so we can collectively get our heads out of the feminist fog in which we’ve been lost.”
I say I should gather my head and get out of this anti-feminist bullshit I’m currently lost in.

Today in class at Tafe, the teacher was talking about music industry contracts and the types of contracts available that musicians can sign. There was a contract called the Key Man Contract (or something like that; I can’t remember exactly). Someone in the class then said, “Ooh, that’s sexist!”, but in a jokingly manner. The same person then said, “I’m a feminist!” and I think it was a jokingly manner as well. (Which I find very ironic because the teacher – who was male – was the first one to bring up that that was a sexist term).
So then this other guy goes, “Pffft, feminists, *grumble grumble* wankers.” I couldn’t hear what he said exactly because I was sitting in the back and he was in the front.
Anyway, when he said that I got really irritated. And now I wish I had said something.
But I just wanted to point something out here. That guy I’m talking about, he’s a very macho guy. He’s not buff or anything, but he actually is physically intimidating and has a gruff look on him. This is the type of man that was actually favoured before the 50s. You know the lumberjack guy. Now I find this ironic, because since he fits the lumberjack stereotype, he is the one perpetuating the patriarchal society which oppresses women. And not to mention the reason the word “faggot” is used as a derogative term towards effeminate men.
And yet he’s the one saying that feminists are full of chuff.
Does anyone see the irony here?
I have this to say: What a narrow-minded fuckhead. And you know what kills me even more? If I actually had spoken up, I’d probably be called a gendered slur – something along the lines of “bitch” – because he feels that he needs to bring me down with a gendered slur because hey, we can’t let the crazy wimmenz have the power now!

No, this isn’t another Facebook rant, but more about Lindsay Lohan converting to Judaism.

*GASP!*
What I love most about the article is this:
“Lindsay Lohan is converting to Judaism in a bid to prove her devotion to Jewish girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
Although raised a Catholic, the 22-year-old star announced she was planning to change her faith on her Facebook page.”
Cos you know, when she changes her status on her Facebook page, she actually means it.

I seriously hate myself for getting Facebook. I always get these “recommendations” about people who I might know. Yeah, I know them, but I don’t want to be their “friends” either. I hate the fact that nobody can spell, and use proper punctuation and grammar on there either. I hate the fact that there are updates every MINUTE on what my friends are doing. Why do I need to know this stuff? WHY?! And now I’m getting updates on what my friend’s friends are doing. Why do I want to know that? But at the same time, I have a Facebook, and I hate myself for having one. None of my friends actually have a blog, which goes to show just how stupid they are on using the Intertubes. And yet they have a Facebook page. Why did I create one in the first place?
On other moons, the Mardi Gras is coming up in Sydney. Yoink! Maybe I can get some peektures.
Plus I hate myself for changing the blog theme every five seconds (sorry guys).
