Thoughts In My Pants

It’s an emergency!

Bad news. I found another motorbike that is also awesome.

A 2003 Yamaha Virago.

It is probably $900 more than the other bike I posted about.

So I am so torn now. Which one should I choose? I love the look of both bikes. I remember when I was really getting into motorbikes and I found the Yamaha Virago. I was in love with it and I love the cruiser look. It is also newer and probably has a lot less kilometres than the Honda bike.

At the same time, the Honda bike is awesome as well. It’s was manufactured in the mid to late 80s and will most likely have more problems down the line arriving a lot quicker than the Virago. However, it is cheaper and it’s hard to find motorbikes like these. They are quite rare and looking for a cafe-racer bike with a 400cc engine is also a rare thing to come across.

So which should I choose? Eek! Torn!

Go the Virago. Not only is it a sexy cruiser, but they are totally reliable. My husband had a Virago, but alas he had to upgrade, and he reluctantly sold it as he couldn’t afford to have two bikes. He called his bike ‘Bullet’ as it was bulletproof. A week or two after he got his new bike, he couldn’t get it started. He shook his head sadly and said “Bullet never would have done this to me”. Anyhow, if your small (as I am) the Virago is a great sized bike. I can sit on it with my feet flat on the ground, whereas most bikes are too tall for me.

That being said, vintage cafe racers are awesome too.
